I'm currently doing my PGCE in secondary Mathematics in London. I will finish in June and will then get a job here, and I see that as an NQT i'd be expected to earn around 24,100 however people keep on telling me that this is a miimum and would be dependent on subject and experience.

Since Maths is a shortage subject and I have been working as a maths teaching assistant for the last 3 years prior to starting my training, does anyone have any suggestions as to what wage I might be expecting as an NQT in London?
