worked in same job 2.5 yrs as temp worker through an agency. now on maternity leave(aug 07 - jan 08) Agency say they cannot ask the temporary replacement worker to leave so i can return to the on the agreed date unless she/he is doing a bad job. do i have any rights to get my old temporary job back? return date was verbal and agreed with the place of work, but now say their hands are tied. i think because agency is getting a higher rate of pay for my replacement they want to keep him/her in that post.

please help as i have only just been told this by the placement and now have to get a job in 3 weeks as contract now signed with a childminder plus im a single mum :( kindest regards
