What is a polygon please in simple terms (wikepedia is a bit complicated) : {

It 's just a 2 dimensional shape with more than one side.

The 2D bit just means width and breadth but no depth. The *poly* part of polygon simply means "many" ie many sided.

Examples of a polygon would be a hexagon, a rectangle, a square etc.
