Do I have a right to unpaid leave to look after my 15 yr old? She is currently unwell and some days is unable to go to school. I need 2 to 4 weeks off to be here and support her as her ability to go to school changes on a day to day basis. I can't take annual leave as someone else already has leave booked.

Hey Snozzle,

I would suggest going to your doctors to see if they will sign you off. When my daughter came out of hospital after having meningitis the docs signed me off for a week tolook after her.

I know it's not the same but worth a try.

Best.

Hi BB
thanks for your reply. I have been signed off these last 2 weeks. Going back to Dr tonight but don't know if they'll allow me any more time.
