I don't know what to do...please help!

My job is basically part time with full time hours, alot of the time I am sat with nothing to do and board but the company are putting me through a course at college costing aroung 700 per year for the next three years. The trouble is the company is not doing well at the moment and things have gone really quiet, I go home every evening feeling down and teary. I think I should move but feel slightly guilty about the investment the company has put into me over the last year. Any thoughts?

It's a tuffy! If the course you are doing will give you a professional qualificiation of sorts, then you should stick it out as your longer term prospects will be better. If the company has fallen on hard times it might be worth talking to the boss and finding out what your prospects are. Perhaps there are other things you could do that are not necessarily in your job description to help fill in the time. If you could finish this year at college and then leave your job, but still finish your course (maybe with help from your family) it might be worth considering. Don't feel too bad about letting them down, if they made you redundant, they wouldn't give a whatsit! Chin up, good luck.
