Stocktaker interview
3 Answers
Hello, i've got an interview comin up very soon for the position of stocktaker. I received a letter saying that there will be 2 psychometric tests and an in depth discussion. I've had a brief look on the net to find out more about these tests but i thought i'd come on here to see if anyone has actually had any experience of these tests in an interview. So if anyone has had any experience and maybe knows what they are likely to include, and is willing to share.( being it for a stocktaker job!) Thanx in advance guys.

Have a look here, you can do sample tests if you google some sites.
Its mostly all about observation and possibly will be a skill test too.

I've had to undergo psychometric testing on 3 occasions and while some of the Q's are fairly straightforward, there were some very bizarre ones. I was always told that of the 3 answers, (A,B,C) there should only be a low percentage of B answers. Some of the odder questions I've encountered include:
1. What would you rather be? A fish, a table leg or a cloud?
2. Would you describe your mother as a nice person?
3. If you were an animal what animal would that be and why?
I don't know who dreams up these questions!
Good luck.

These types of test are absolute rubbish mate.
Asking the same question 3 different way's proves what ?.
I would imagine a good knowledge of counting, writing information down correctly and working in a team would be more usefull than doing a stupid psychometric test.
A good friend of mine, a recently qualified Phd graduate did a test, and didn't get the job.
Once again what does that mean ?.
