I could understand for a top managerial job or a very important skilled job but for a shelfstacker/till person in a music store is hardly rocket science (no offence) and is a load of pathetic redtape that just wastes time and money!
That was a rant at application forms and not at you by the way.
In answer....... dunno cos its all psychological cack which they are looking for that has no place on a till assistant job form, but go for something like "Career prospects" as even tho it says it on the website, its unlikely the jobsworth in the interview ever bothers to go on it and you can research their "fast track scheme" a bit and tailor your questions around what you already know to show a keen interest in both their company and policies, while giving the jobsworth a chance to answer some questions about his own company thinking you are genuinely dedicated to working for HMV and want to learn (when in reality, your just using reverse psychology using your own knowledge of there policy to make you look interested with the right questions).
One thing tho.... whatever you do, do try and ask at least 2 questions no matter how short they are during the interview, because although the application is psychology bollox, the interviewer hiring you will want to see someone that shows a smidgen of interest rather than a pillock with a glazed expression who says "Nope!" when asked "Is there anything you would like to ask me?"
Go for "Chances of getting overtime?" - makes you look dependable when short staffed.
Go for "Training opportunities?" - makes you look like you want to learn how to stack a CD properly in the right section or cover different departments when short staffed.
Go for "Social Activites or events HMV have for staff?" - shows your keen to work as a team
