I've been delivering newspapers for a few years now, and I'm currently looking for a full time job. However, I'm wondering if this paper round is worth mentioning in application forms?

Yes.

It shows you are reliable and industrious, and can get out of bed in the mornings. All worthy points for an employer. It could also give an indication of your level of fitness.

How old are you? Personally I would laugh my socks off if I had an application from a 30 yr old which mentioned a paper round!

Ethel does have a point though, it does prove you can get up in the mornings and want to work (well you must do if you are prepared to do that!)
I would assume they are not 30 :)

Yes put it down, the people who you done the paper round for are also a good source of a reference for your first ever proper job.
You never know - we have a paper 'boy' at our local shop who is 69!
It is absolutely worth it. Shows you haven't been idle for the past few years and that you're capable of and willing to do hard graft.

If you have done this paper round, no matter what your age is, and you have a good record of duty to the post, it speaks highly of your dedication to the job. You have to cope with the different weather conditions to provide a valuable service to a wide variety of people's needs: Financial Times for the punters involved with the financial world who can have a quick read on the journey to work: news and gossip for those who need it over breakfast. Don't undersell yourself , go for it.
