Hi,
I started my current job on 1 Dec 09, I was told that I would have my pay reviewed in 3 months time, which would be 1 Mar 09, the things is is that I will be leaving for maternity leave on 22 May 09 coming back on 1 Feb 10, (i will not be entitled to SMP)
my question is, should i wait until I am approached about my pay review or should I approach my manager and bring it up? also, Would I get a better response if I were to say that I am ok with having my pay reviewed when I return from my maternity leave?

thanks

Legally, your maternity shouldn't affect any review. However, you may get a better review (and pay increase) if you offered your suggestion. It's up to you really. Of course, if its simply a review it doesnt necessarily mean a pay increase anyway, just that they'll review it!
