I have learned to wear my hard hat when I come in, but what makes these people tick?
Are they insecure?
Are they lacking in some physique department
Or do they have "mean" written through them like a stick of Blackpool Rock?
Why do you think they do it....LOL

can of worms bazzy,,,,Nooooooo
just my observations thats all, it's not just me it has happened to as you must be aware, and frankly now, I couldn't care less!!!
You seem to intermate I want to talk about specific cases,,,hell no, just wondered why they do it??? that's all,
and for not to raise it is being told to only talk about pallatable issues.
Question Author
now, now doc no guessy games if you please,,,lol
I didn't mean you were going to tell about your experiences Joy.
I meant that others will be posting here and saying 'x' has been following me about all over the place calling me names'

I hope it doesn't turn into to one of those threads btw.

Hope you have a happy day.
;-)
will the worms not suffocate in the can

::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
That's why now and again they have to be let free Doc.
Question Author
thanks bazzy, me too, I will have to be fair on both sides and ask people not to name names, just tell me why they would think anyone would want to do that, if it's a tad controversial, then so be it,
you have a good day too x
free range worms are best

Joy it would be real easy for me to advise you to say take no notice and ignore them, however, it's not that easy nor that simple. I do know that there are some unstable and dodgy people on all websites, and this one is no exception. In all the time I have been on here they have come and gone but I am still around, all be it in a slightly altered name, but the eejits have faded away most of the time, or realised they are on a hiding to nothing and moved onto another user.
I don't blame you for feeling annoyed about it, and you are commended for not naming the perp, I usually would have done, but that only escalates things I guess.
One tactic I did try was to give them stars but ignore them, it didn't work for long but it helped for a while. If you are getting no joy from the ed, (and you are unlikely to) just try to ignore them until they get bored.

Good luck

Good Morning Joy1, I do have a 'stalker' on here.

He is mentally challenged and has the literacy skills of a 4 year old!

It seems to keep him occupied and so I leave him to it.

:0]

I am sure that he will be along soon...he has nothing else to do.

I, however must dash, bye!!
and the reason they do it is without fail because they are bullies and were probably bullied at school themselves and take this anonymous opportunity to retaliate, it's a deep psychological problem that is hard to identify on a website, but it often emerges that the person hounding you is inadequate in some way and likes to appear dominant , especially towards women.
Joy you should think yourself lucky, i've never had a stalker,

time yet i spose,

SIGH,
alternatively, Charisse, yourself and me are imagining it and being paranoid lol (Now we all know that is not true lol)
Question Author
morning dot, logic and Charisse, very wise words from all, I 'll probs aquire one now logic..he-he
My opinion is that there is no respect anymore. Maybe it's because I come from an older generation (not that old though, I'm in my fifties) but I have noticed that people call each other all sorts of names that we would have been ashamed to even hear when we were growing up. Or got a slap from Ma or Pa for saying it. There is no discipline these days, at home or in schools. Young things are not being taught to respect others' feelings anymore.
It may seem 'funny' to youngsters that 'oldies' are shocked by some of the things that are said, so do it to invoke a response for amusement.
Ignoring their silly comments is the sweetest way as it makes them really cross to be ignored + they want you to take the bait so mostly best not to say anything or think very carefully before answering + only say it once( like the French resistance in Allo Allo). Unhinged, fools or trolls or just plain bullies are the people who sadly follow a poster around just to be nasty or ridiculous. Decided to ignore them as why take up one's precious time to type a message to them or choose to enter the trap they set on purpose. Let them carry on whilst ignoring them + they just make an even bigger fool of themselves yet if you keep retalliating you can end up making fool of self then regretting it so 9/10 best to ignore them ;-) Hope you have a wonderful day Joy + keep being YOU please. Warmest wishes, Bea :-)
For goodness sake BAZZYMAN, this is chatterbank, some people come on here to have a moan, some to rannt and rave, some come to take the micky out of others, some just to annoy others, It is I think, supposed to be a bit light hearted, and not taken seriously, i may be wrong of course,
But to be honest if I wanted to discuss something seriously, I think I could find a category over in the list on the left of the page,
Not trying to critiscise your opinion, that's just the way I see it.
Question Author
I agree with both of you BEA and bazzy, tho' secretly I find it a hoot that the one I have in mind keeps quotong previous posts of mine, I think he fancies me rotten....lol
