Ok ta, have only applied for part time shop work before and didn't bother putting it in an envelope before, again I'm only applying for part time work for the summer holidays and I am handing it in rather than posting it so didn't know if this made a difference, I seem to remember hearing that it gives managers extra work as they have to open envelopes and they don't like it but now can't find any advice either way! who should I address it to?
Put it in an envelope marked for the attention of the shop manager. You could also put a handwritten letter in with the CV. This way they can see your handwriting as well.
If you are facing the interviewer either hand over the CV as is or place in plastic file.
It is useful to have a presentation file with you which could contain, Qualifaction Certificates. membership details, references, etc. whatever might be suitable to the interview. What type of job is it?
If posting as other's say make sure you have a covering letter.
