Shift Changes

At the company where i work the shift pattern is being changed every other week to suite the management requirements and also to put one of the operators on days as we are told he is needed on days,the operator in question is trying to get on permanent days so that would mean the other four operators have to cover his nights and weekends,i also have evidence of favoritism being shown to this operator by the manager,this is a multi national company and the section where i work is only manned by 5 operators and a manager and we run a 24/7operation, is there anything that can be done?? i would be grateful for any advice.
