when it says 'standard rate call' how much will that cost??

It basically means it is neither a premium number or a local number, but it could be local, depending on where you are in relation to the number.

Cost obviously depends on who you phone is with and what deal you have.

so would 10p be a high-ish standard rate do you think?
Firther to Mailmutt's post:

BT local rate calls are charged at just under 4p per minute between 0600 and 1800 on weekdays. At other times they're charged at just under 1p per minute.

BT national rate calls (from domestic lines) are charged at just under 8p per minute between 0600and 1800 on weekdays. During weekday evenings, and in the early hours of the weekday mornings, they're charged at just under 4p per minute. At weekends they're charged at just under 1�p per minute.
