housebound and struggling to find work

hi all

im guessing im not the only housebound person in the uk that although is not physically able to go to work could actually do work from home.

so how can i find a job to do at home? I have drawn a blank writing and calling local companies and placing adverts in local papers and the job centre just said that they don ever get work in like that.

mad ist it that i am stuck on astupid benefit when im willing to work.
as i am only recently disabled i have excellent work experience and want to get back on the working ladder in some way.

if you can offer any help as to where i could find legit jobs or offer me advice from your own experiences then that would be great

the only practical thing you can d is t run your own business. What are yu good at? What would be within your physical capabilities? Don't forget that an employer is under a legal obligation to make reasonable adjustments, so it may be possible for you to go out to work. Are you on EMA? if so, do they not have advisors?

Bednobs is probably correct in suggesting that the only practical way forward, for regular income, is to run your own business. The vast majority of 'work from home' jobs you see advertised are scams. (Never, ever part with any money up front in connection with such so-called 'opportunities'). However I do know of one part-time job that could bring in some extra income:

I work, on a casual basis, as a team leader and area supervisor for Deya Ltd. (So I know that they're a reputable company, who pay reasonably good money). They distribute Yellow Pages (and some other directories) across the country. Once they've been delivered, teams of telephone checkers call customers to make sure that they've received their directories. All calls are free to the people doing the checking. (They're routed via Deya's own telephone system). All that's needed is a broadband internet connection (on a phone line where rental is paid to BT), a confident telephone manner and an organised manner. If you're interested, you can apply here:

You have got on the web and know how to post messages - lots of others dont have same ability; you teach them.

Adverftise & promote yourself in corner shops for writing/printing correspondence/CVs etc. Plenty of ppl cant and need such help.
