is it slightly pathetic for a man of 28 to feel bullied by older women at work? i try to get my point accross but the problem with bullies is they dont listen and only hear what they want to hear.
I feel a tinge of sadness and then think people might think im a weak person and a pushovver, but i kind of think of it as not showing people they are getting to me and not stooping to their level, but they just seem so intent !!!!
If they're not paying your wages then try and ignore them. They may feel threatened that a young man is employed to 'take over' their positions. You're only answerable to your ampoyer.....if they're a problem, tell your employer.
You are not the only one, I think I'm being set on at work too. I have a women boss who thinks she is being confident and assertive but is really just a bully. Time to change jobs I think
Older women - what are they like! It might not even be bullying - I work with a bunch of them and I sometimes feel invisible, but I don't think it's deliberate, they just get carried away with the sound of their own voice and don't even notice I'm there - I blame the menopause ;)
I have encountered women with this kind of unprofessional attitude in the work place, it tends to stem from a generation of women that were not necessarily career driven or able to take full time employment at a time when child care was none existant. You will struggle to get along with this type of person but that is be\cause they fail professionally, you should always maintain a consistent approach and do your job to the best of your ability.
