This is a professional qualification which will enable you to work from home and is also an entry point for training to become a management or certified accountant. When you have completed AAT you will fully understand bookkeeping but will also be able to carry out projections and analysis rather than just recording historical data.
i only want a part time job to do from home as i cant work full time or get to a place of work so i was informed about the 2 courses (micb manual bookkeeping parts i,2 nd 3 and also sage plus part 1 manual bookeeping) by 2 distance learning courses. both advised that the accountancy one isnt really what im looking for
Manual book keeping will teach you more about how it works. Sage does the book keeping for you and you just enter the data. If you learn manual you can then go on to learn sage and will probably have a better understanding of it. If an error occurs in sage and you don't have full understanding of book keeping then you might find it hard to find the mistake.
Sage is very easy to master if you can already do the job.
