Can I still claim job seekers over xmas after rcvg job offer yesterday to start Jan 4th and paperwork to fill in first ?

Yes. Inform them on the 4th that you have started work. I think they now pay you until payday...don't quote me on that though.

They will pay you for the time that you are 'unemployed'. You only have to declare the job on the 4th. People can even claim when they are in employment for a previous date that they were unemployed although they need a pretty good answer for why they couldn't claim in that time. x

they paid me dole for two weeks after i started as they assume anyone paid monthly would need help getting to work transport etc .
