Should notice pay be paid for staff leaving on a compromise agreement? TIA

That's what I'm saying F30, there's no 'fixed' sum paid in a compromise agreement (in the way that a redundancy payment has to to be minimum sum, though is often more). So I think the wording in the agreement says something along the lines that it includes an amount to cover the appropriate notice period.

Notice pay is part of the contract, so if the employee is being asked to leave and a deal is being done that involves money in exchange for not pursuing a claim at ET, then it has got to be built in there somewhere. It is invariably paid as 'money in lieu of notice' and foms part of the overall sum on offer.
