well if youve just left school its good to get an apppreticeship cos it only takes 4/5 yrs and if you decide that it aint for you your still young enough to try out something else and  a trade is always something to fall back on....

Getting an apprenticeship does depend on your age. However, http://www.apprenticeships.gov.uk should give you some general info. You can find the 'training' side of an apprenticeship at local colleges or http://www.jtlimited.co.uk/mainPage.htm which I believe is a national training provider. You will also need to source an employer to take you on as an apprentice.
