I'd be happy with that.
your cousins first name must have been a stinker -if he preferred to be called Lance
Just email them and ask molly x
£6 - £7.50 would be a start, depending on time period and no. of rugrats : )
So 5 hours in evening would be £30-£35.
Spose its where you live really. usually a fiver here or a lump fee like 25 a night
When you consider I paid a cleaning girl £10 per hour, the responsibility of looking after kids must make it worth what I suggested.

I've mentioned it before, Christopher, he just hates it, probably because it contains christ and he is a confirmed atheist perhaps meh, i'm just guessing that may be part of it.
Bloody hell - I need to get a job as a babysitter!!!! Aren't they asleep, and don't you get the right to raid the fridge!!
ok Molly-missed your mentioning
Even at £5 per hour its a nice wee earner for you and also gives the Mum and Dad time out together.I was very glad to have a babysitter on occasion.
You can also get a reference from your cadets.

his hearing's not very good i think he has a hearing aid now, perhaps when people called him Chris he thaught they were saying Christ, to annoy him.
Molly ... what's all this Chris .. Christopher stuff about?
Molly, no you don't need a licence for informal occasional babysitting, but usually you would be asked to babyist by families who know you well and who trust you. If you were thinking of setting up a baby-sitting service then you would have to be checked and have insurance etc - same as childminding - but for you as an occasional sitter, trying to make a few bob while you are studying, all you need is common sense.
there are adds from teens in our local newsagents all the time. And its quite apauling how some families round here would just leave there children with anyone as long as it was cheap
Albags, keep up..Lances first name.
^ OK TT .. It's a job sometimes ... besides, I'm multi-tasking ATM : )

boxtops so i don't need insurance etc even if i advertise in the local paper or shops? only if i set up a company?
Thats right Molly, most teenagers get their babysitting jobs by word of mouth in my experience, don`t forget you need to be comfortable with the family as well as they with you.
as a parent i can tell you that i wouldnt just pick a card from an advertising board for a babysitter.
recomendations are a definate. Do you parents know of people with children you may sit for?
Also at 16 dont expect much in way of payment. Chances are the child would be asleep and you just be there watching tv or doing your homework.
