I know you need licences and cbr checks and stuff to be a childminder but you don't for baby siting do you?

If you were thinking of setting up a baby-sitting service then you would have to be checked and have insurance etc - same as childminding - but for you as an occasional sitter, trying to make a few bob while you are studying, all you need is common sense.
as a parent i can tell you that i wouldnt just pick a card from an advertising board for a babysitter.
recomendations are a definate. Do you parents know of people with children you may sit for?
Also at 16 dont expect much in way of payment. Chances are the child would be asleep and you just be there watching tv or doing your homework.
