there are 25 local research councils in England in UK (CLRN) which fall under the auspices of CCRN (comprehensive clinical research network) ...the CCRN falls under the NIHR (which i am THINKING stands for National institue of health research)

Can anyone give me the basics (in everyday language) of that the Clinical Local Research Council does? I WILL read the latest government white paper on NHS reform but i know it will be longwinded so BEFORE I read it a brief summary of what they do wil be hepful.....if anyone knows that is...

i am going for an interview (on the administrative / secretarial side) at the CLRN but woud like to "gen up" a bit about the basics. I really know not much about the CLRN (other than what I googled)

You might want to check out the PSNC website too and use their search engine? You will find a synopsis of the White paper on there too.

Hope that helps, and good luck!
