Check your payslip to confirm what tax code they have applied for you.
(Is it just seasonal work youll be doing, and a student for the rest of the year?)
I figure you should be paying approx £52 NIC and approx £95 income tax (if on base rate 20%), and thats based on an income of £1000. so check your payslip!

Im on placement, about to go back to uni full time.. i started End of june(29th)/start july) last year so 8 months before april(being the end of the phiscal year) so £8,000.. and august end since then so 5 months £5,000..
with 150 taken out every month .. so shouldnt i get tax rebate given that personal allowence is around £6000 per phiscal year ?
