Back into Education
2 Answers
Hi I recently posted about myself considering going back into education from working full time. I have been accepted on a course to start this year still which I would enjoy. As it would be 3 days study a week I was wondering, if my employer would be willing to let me work the other 2 days, would I be entitled to any housing benefit? Or any help at all financially? I am 19 years old living in a bedsit, which is £70 per week.

With regards to your employment, you should approach your employer about reducing your hours.
Have a look on here http://moneytolearn.direct.gov.uk/ for possible financial support. The government currently offer many incentives for people going back into education.
May I ask what course you are studying? Most colleges offer advice and help with funding.
Good luck with your studies. I am a mature student, although I have had to finance my studies, I am really enjoying it.
