Rig work
1 Answers
My husand recently left the Navy after 23 years as an Air Engineering Technician (electrical discipline) - he has a wealth of experience including helicopter repairs, maintenance and in-flight diagnosis; he also trained in fire fighting, helicopter underwater escape and was experienced in helicopter deck operations for several years; he is now a qualified electrician and CHP engineer.
This is just a part of his experience, but a good overview. He would like to work on oil/gas rigs, but it does seem a difficult area to get into - a bit of a closed-shop, maybe. Any advice as to where to apply or how to get into this field?

Maybe worth trying an online company like the one above, they would at least be able to give you advice
