the company i work for has posted a job position on their website, when i asked them about the position i was told that there is no job they are looking to get more people on their books? but it says start times and rates of pay, are you aloud to do this,---by the way this is an agency .

Thank you for that glimpse into your spelling.
they waste your time because then you will be expected to rush over and fill out their registration forms etc

then the 'vacancy' will be closed

my partner encountered this with more than one well known agency so if interested in a position advertised (and also be aware that agencies also blag vacancies from competitors web sites in order to get a referal fee) state clearly that you are only interested in that job and will only visit their office if that job is still available
