Maybe only one person has a PhD but this person has two usernames.
I remember somone saying on here they did have a PhD but I can't remember who it was - however I could list a few people that I'd definitely rule out (including me).

And me, i'm only doing A-levels. I was talking to my form tutor the other day about uni and infact the same teacher I saw in London (see my 'what are the chances thread') who has a PhD in something like muslim studies. I asked my form tuto what would he think if I cam back to my home town with a marine biology PhD, he said 'If you had a PhD why would you want to come back here?' Although there is a CEFAS place nearby.

I have come across two folk with double PhDs in my time. One of them was a Canadian refinery engineer who thought he was God's evangalist sent by the Chairman to the Far East (being of Canadian Chinese origin).

As someone said to me, disparagingly as this engineer was a P-i-the-A, he had the experience the depth of an oil well and the lateral vision of a well too!

Well, I have a PhD, but it is nothing to either regularly bring up in conversation, or to avoid mentioning. What does it matter? All it really means is that I stayed in school far beyond the time that I could easily explain to my parents what I was doing.

Only curious as kudos to them for studying to such a level and crucially having the stamina and self motivation to do it.
Both my siblings attained Masters-they attained their degrees and then studied for their Masters whilst working full time -so i know how hard that was !!
