I've just found out that bangor do ocean science aswell . . . I'm back up to 11 courses . . . Whats the best approach to narrowing down uni choices?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The Guardian do a good uni guide, there are many other guides out there that will rate accommodation, courses, student diversity, night life etc. If you are due to get top grades, you may as well go to the uni that has the strictest entry requirements as this usually means the degree is valued more.
Also put on your sheet the minimum requirements that each want for student entry, molly, then you will know what grades you are aiming for. Some may accept lower passes than others, it doesn't mean that their programmes are less worthy.
See also if you can find out which unis are the most popular, your chances of getting into those may be reduced if hundreds apply for that course, whereas a less popular uni (perhaps not so central) might have less applicants.
