Child being searched at school

Is it against the law for a girl of 15 to be searched by a female teacher in front of male pupils and 2 male teachers,
apparently looking for mobile phones which are banned at school ?

phil, wouldn't worry about them being CRB checked, they are sure to be!..........

tbh, a pat-down is better in front of 100 witnesses, regardless of who they are - rather than secreted behind a screen with 2 dubious witnesses - if you see my point.

if my daughter searched a prisoner or female visitor without a female witness she would be suspended, thats the law .

Fact is, isn't it so .. that more and more pupils are carrying weapons, dealing drugs, breaking rules .. all without fear of their school peers.
There has to be some control.
I agree with spot searches .. it deters the bad ones, tho admittedly at the expense of the liberty of others.

I know Phil ...
If it was out the back .. a pupil could make accusations of molestation or similar.
The law's being changed regarding this tho .. right?
