Can I stop my husband removing items and property from our marital home whislt our divorce is being finalised?
I am not allowed to get locks changed on the marital home but my husband is returning on a daily asis whilst I am at work and systematically removing all of our possessions without consent. Is this burglary and can I stop it?

However he moved out at the weekend but is returning and tking things without agreement eg all tv's, videos, all towels, crockery..even the telephone and wiring! Clearly I can't replace anything as he will most probably take that too and so the kids are having to go without basic essentials. I don't have money to replace everything from a teaspoon through to a microwave. He also isn't necessarily entitled to all of this unlesshe courts deem so in the future. Surely this could count as theft? Really desperate - not sure whether to call police?
No he can't do that. The property remains jointly owned until you both decide how the stuff is divvied up. If he took half the towels, that would be OK, but not all of them, and he certainly shouldn't leave you without basic necessities. Have you got a solicitor for your divorce? - if so don't waste time, tell the solicitor now. Who says you are not allowed to change the locks?
