selling weapons

I want to sell 2 target bows on eBay with 36 arrows and all the kit that goes with them.

It's in a big bag about 5 foot by two, so delivery would have to be local, or collection.

As I live in Salford, I'm concerned that local yobboes might buy them.

Can I do anything to cover myself against any liability?

You have no liability once you have sold them. you can buy archery kits from most sports shops- stop worrying.

You are not liable in law for anything you sell in that respect. whether you sell in locally or anywhere else the wrong person could end up hurting someone or killing the neighbours dog. It isnt the weapon that kills, its the person behind the weapon.

You'd only be liable if you knowingly sold them to be used for illegal purposes, so you are not liable if you sell them and they are used for illegal purposes unless the person told you they were buying them to go and shot somebody that had annoyed them (or similar)

yes, there are loads of them, but most are from traders. Not many individuals, which worried me a bit.
