I used to care for my mum but when they renewed her claim they put her on high rate mobility but said she didn't quality for a carer which I do not understand as she is on high rate , is this true or did she missunderstand

she needs to either be on medium or higher rate for CARE not MOBILITY (DLA)

I think she may have misunderstood I definitely would be asking the relevant people questions. You can access Directgov site and go on the benefits advice section and this will explain all the different things which will be available for your mother Good luck
