My friend has started a new job and she loves it – she has been there 3 months and they have asked to do her crb check
She has a conviction going back 4 and half years ago where she had argument with her boyfriend and she was given a criminal record of harassment she got community sentence. Will she loose her job?

Depends what her job is.
Postage you don't receive a criminal record for "Arguing" unless it was a public order offence? What what has actual conviction for?

Surely she knew she would have to have the check at the interview?

Yes, if she didn't declare it she may well lose her job but not necessarily because of the record
And what's the job, and has she declared the conviction?

well the form is very basic all it requires is your nameandddress there is no section for adding any thing else on
and what does 'the form' have written on it as a header?
If it is a CRB check then there will be other sections on it
and, for the 3rd time, what is her job?

Postage what does she do? Do jobs usually not ask for convictions and then spring it on you a few months down the line without any inkling?

She is an administrator in a large office – does ad hoc duties and gives drivers there jobs for the day. The form did nt have any thing on it just the name address and section for telephone number
Postage I seriously doubt that a conviction for harassment would make her exempt from this job and like you said it was 4.5 years ago so if she's good at her job and well liked I don't see any problems, is she friendly with any supervisors or managers? She could pre warn her direct manager that this would show up which could help her if the powers above decide she's not suitable because of this as the the powers above just see a name and number where the managers on the ground get to see the real person.
It shouldn't be too much of a problem then.
THE EMPLOYER SHOULD NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK FOR A CRB CHECK if she works as an administrator, unless it's working with vulnerable people.
Also if she is having a crb check it'll be totally up to the employer what they do with any info they get
so she doesn't work with vulnerable adults or children then? But big burly truck drivers?

But not you have confused me by saying that "the form is very basic all it requires is your name and address" then saying it asks "are there any convictions" and now saying it doesnt ask for any other information.
What was the section for the telephone number? Who's number idd they want?? What was the header on the form? Was it a form to give her employers permission to request a CRB check?

Working with big burly truck drivers she will most likely only need a basic CRB check, but even that will ask for for previous surnames, addresses etc so I am inclined to think this form is not the CRB check one
of course they have the right to bednobs, any application form for any job will ask if you have any previous convictions and they can ask you to have a CRB check done

thats what i thought she been there months and works well she sis sp worried what if she does nt say anthing and no one comes back to her
