Hypothetical situation at the moment but I was wondering what happens in this case.
After the death of my Father I inherit a half share in a property along with my sibling. Neither of us wants to sell immediately. I would like to rent the property to a third party, she wants to take up residency with her boyfriend.
Would I have any rights to stop her living there?

Unless she paid you half the market rent, you could apply to the Court for an order. You could either ask for an order that she pay you half the market rent or an order for sale. I love to see people leaving money to the Salvation Army, apart from the religious side they do a lot of good work and they don't squander their money on lavish building and fancy homes for their officers.

Despite my beliefs the Salvation Army runs deep in the blood of my family going back to William Booth (Founder)
Too true, RATTER. When my husband was in the army he said no matter where they were the Salvation Army would appear somehow with a cup of tea and a 'wad'. He said they were the only ones to do this no matter what. In spite of the fact that I am an atheist I cannot praise them enough for the good work they do. When he died he left instructions for The Salvation Army to do his service. I tried to give the chap who did the service some extra money but what did he do with it? He did not take it for himself, which I had intended but put it into the collection. He said he was paid a salary by the S.A. and that was enough for him to do 'God's Work'. You cannot but admire people like this.
Totally agree Starone.
