I ordered a pair of headphones from an Amazon marketplace seller and received a pair of inferior different ones from china. They cost £18 to buy. They have agreed to give me a refund but expect me to pay the shipping cost! What would your next move be?
I always have a problem actually contacting Amazon. It's easy to contact "the seller" but Amazon remains elusive. Does anyone have their address in the UK and/or their email address. ? Cats, good luck with your refund and no,if your goods were faulty, you shouldn't have to pay P & P.
If they are inferior rather than faulty you're in a grey area. But I have found Amazon to be co-operative in the past. Plenty of info about returns behind their Help tab as well as the Contact Us link.
Thank you.
I got my money back from Amazon without having to send them back.
The listing has not been removed however which means there are more people out there getting something different to what they ordered.
If the goods were not as described then they are not of 'satisfactory quality' as required by s 14(2) of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended 1994) so you would have been entitled to repudiate the contract at no financial cost to yourself.
