Help Please Advice

Could someone please give me some advice to help my daughter please.? He husband walked out on her and his four children October 2 years this year. He was seeing another woman and is still with her.. Although he says he isnt and its all over between them. He owns his own Tyre Fitting business plus one other that my daughter doesnt know about...anyway my daughters freind has told me she is worried because my daughter still will not accept he has left for good and he has been telling her he isnt with this woman any more and he is going to go home very soon. But we have found out he is still with this other one...The main question is can he Divorce my daughter after the two years in October and will she still be entitiled to half of everything he owns? She was with him for 16 years and helped him build his business up... but not by putting any money in just being at home with the children while he was working 24/7.... or so he said?
This friend of daughter thinks he is trying to keep her sweet until it is too late to do anything and lose everything. I know for a fact she will not Divorce him .... Hope you can make sense of al that ... thankyou

Your daughter's husband can only divorce her after two years apart if she agrees to it. Otherwise he'll have to wait for a further three years:

Divorce settlements can be extremely complicated. (AB's barrister, Barmaid, is the expert!). They can either come about through simple agreement or from a court ruling. Courts generally rule very firmly in such matters in favour of the children of the relationship, meaning that your daughter (as the resident parent) could be entitled to far more than a half of what he's got.

many thanks to you. that has made me feel slightly better. He keeps telling my daughter he is going to come back to her any day...which we know is a lie as he also has not stopped his relattionship like he has told her as we saw them last night and other people have also. but he has told someone else he is just keeping my daughter sweet until the two years is up x
