Where do you write to if you want a copy of a will. Can anyone get a copy of a will if it is going through probate or do you have to wait until probate has been granted.

What is rough idea of the cost?

It's the 'grant of representation' which is a public document, rather than the will itself. (Although a copy of the grant will always include a copy of the will where one exists). So you need to wait until probate has been granted:

Alternatively you can pay for a 'standing search', whereby you'll automatically be sent a copy of the grant if it's issued within the following six months:

erm for a will going thro probate you need to approach the regisitry where the will will be processed

pay a fee - fill out the form they give you and you will be sent a copy when it is approved

when I did it - it was about a tenner -
