Try To Be Nice

Some people are jealous,

And see through eyes of green.

Some have have big mouths,

And are hateful and the mean.

 

Some don’t like happy people,

And try to bring them down.

Whenever they’re around,

A smile becomes a frown.

 

In this world where we live,

You will always find.

The most mistreated people,

Are the ones who are kind.

 

If you don’t stand up for yourself,

Then you will be intimidated.

By the arrogant,the rude,

And the over opinionated.

 

We would like to be nice to everyone,

But sometimes we must think twice.

You can’t be nice to everyone,

Because not everyone is nice.

 

We will never live in a world,

Where everyone will agree.

But civility costs nothing,

And kind words are free.

 

Making someone feel happy,

On this you can’t put a price.

So where ever you go in this world,

Just always try to be nice.

'Nice' is an understatement to the swell of support and even love we have received since MrJ2 was taken so horribly ill with pneumonia in mid-December. He's home now.

Neighbours have been around with cards, even chocolates, all so kind and happy that he is back.  I'm exhuausted, but swamped by offers to sit with him if I need to go out.

'Nice' doesn't begin to cover it - most people are wonderful and I am humbled by their kindness. 

Yes - and then there are the other sort, but I'm talking about the wonderful majority.
