My girlfriend is due in 4 weeks, and i was wondering is there a set amount of time that my work has to give me off? also do they have to pay me?

Hi, i think they should give you two weeks off and also pay you for it. I'm not certain. If you have a contract then it should hopefully tell you on there.

My contract only mentions sickness and holidays. but 2 weeks sound good. cheers

The reason your contract doesnt mention it , is that its a statutory right , like maternity leave, and not something for your employer to give or take away
