Divorced vendors - husband refusing to sign.
We are buying a property and have all agreed completion date of this friday. The vendors are divorced and the husband says he has signed and returned the contracts. They have never been received and he refuses to sign a duplicate. Solicitors say that they can go to court to get an emergency injunction as he is being unreasonable and a Judge can sign on his behalf. Has anyone ever heard of this? help please!

Ask the husband if he wants to sell, and if he says yes, then sayyou will go to court for a judge's signature and he will have to pay for the costs.
In other words he is gaining nothing and perhaps not even a delay, but he will get less for the house - is he getting anything ?
