Me and my partner have 2 young children together and we are splitting up. At the moment we are still in the same house. He is 83,000 in debt and can't afford the bills etc and he doesn't give me and the kids any money. We have a joint mortgage and I want to sell the house but he doesn't want me to get any of the money. I really can't stand being with him any more and want to leave with my kids ASAP. Does anyone know what my rights are if I leave and what chances are there of me getting a place for me and my kids? My partner took out a loan in both our names without my consent and asked me to sign it but I refused as it's his own personal debt through gambling.

you should stay in the house for now and seek advice from a matrimonial solicitor who will advise you on what is best to do. usually the 1st hour is free. make an appointment and ask for assistance.
