My partner has been falsely accused of physically abusing our son. There is not a shred of truth to this. We dont know who reported us but its not the first time false claims have been made. Can I find out who reported my partner and if so, can we bring a case against the person who is making our life hell for no reason at all?

No you can't. The report may well have anonymous, but there is no way the court would order the authority concerned to release this information because of the long ranging effects.

It would deter people from making honest reports of abuse.

This is a horrid situation for you but hopefully the authority concerned will deal appropriately with the informant, if possible.
