this may be hard to describe, and petty. but i live on an estate, as as we come off the main road one of the first houses on the right have 2 cars parked on the road in the daytime. It seams like every morning they move their 4x4 off their driveway and park it on the road. this seams fairy enough, but right opposite their parked cars is another road that goes off which i need to go down and often have trouble seeing round their 4x4. The estate is quite busy due to having 2 schools who also need to turn right opposite the 4x4. is there anything i can do to prevent them from parking their car there everyday.... why cant they just leave it on their driveway!

Parking within 10 metres of a junction can constitute 'obstruction of the highway'. Although many parking matters now come under the control of local authorities, 'obstruction' is still a police matter. Speak to your local community constable.

sounds to me like they are very petty people with nothing better to do but park their cars on the street to prevent people who are dropping off their kids at school from parking outside their house
OR............knowing about the schools in the area, which produce extra traffic, they park their vehicle on the road forcing drivers to drive slower because they cannot see beyond the 4 x 4 ???

Near where I live, an old school friend of mine was parking a lorry on the main road. I used to curse him under my breath every time I had to stop and give way to traffic. I bumped into him last weekend and said 'I haven't noticed your bloomin lorry for a week or so' to which he replied 'yeah, I've been keeping it on my business premises - the neighnours want me to bring it home again because they say it slows the traffic up'
Have you spoken to them about it? Maybe there is a good reason.
SPEAK TO HIM!

My god, was that really such a difficult answer.

Mind you, if I got a call from a nosey neighbour trying to tell me where and when I could park, I'd tell them where to get off. So be prepared.
