Fridge freezer -Wrong details
Indesit say my fridge freezer is unrepiarable , so i claimed on my Insurance Repair Protection Plan for a new replacement -however the insurers are stating that i have a Hotpoint fridge freezer covered and not an Indesit -now as far as i am concerned this is an admin error on the insurers part - even more amazing is that the insuers state they do not cover Hotpoint - yet it is on my plan details!
I told them to simply amend details to Indesit -but they say they can't do this - i think this is stalling tactics and nonsense and want me to fight for my replacement.
Any advice appreciated

Other brands familiar within the UK market under the Indesit umbrella are Servis and Ariston (in fact since 2007 we should refer to Hotpoint-Ariston as a brand).
I would certainly advocate pursuing this further but you may find that you have undermined your position by not pointing out the brand name error when you first received the plan details.

Makes me wonder if they make a habit of recording the wrong details. I have a Smeg fridge but according to my insurance policy it's a fridge-freezer and I've often wondered whether this would cause problems in the event of a claim. I presumed it wouldn't seeing as it was the manufacturer who'd sent the details to the insurance company. However in the light of your post - which I'm grateful for btw - I think I'd best contact them just to make sure.
