Goods not returned

Hi,

I recently sold a pair of shoes (approximate value 30.00) on an internet auction site. Unfortunately they didn't fit the buyer even though the size stated in the listing was accurate. I eventually agreed to a refund plus an additional amount to cover their return. The buyer is now refusing to return them. I consider this to be theft but the police are reluctant to get involved having advising me that it is a civil matter. How do I stand on this and what advise can you give me so as to secure the return of my property?

Regards

Did you give a refund before getting the shoes back ?
If so it seems to me that you may be getting scammed.
If you made the refund through Paypal you might be able to get the payment turned round.
Sorry but I would think you have little or no chance of getting your shoes returned.
Basic rules of ebay are if someone returns the goods they pay postage although it can be a grey area.

However, refunding the money before the goods were returned is a bit naive.

Take it up with paypal.
