Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with the above organisation and their "freecover"? (which is free, up to 100,000 motor legal expenses cover).

No experience of using them, but looking at the website it seems a reasonable offer, in that every professional services organisation expects to invest a bit of time to get a return through a 'sale' of further advice beyond the initial free period. A typical such organisation might spend 10% of its resources on business development activity.

Motor legal cover is a relatively modest addition to a policy - it is again part of the 'free' deal, at a cost to them of perhaps a few pounds per customer.
Have no experience with this site, but it seems to be reliable. And of course, you always should rememeber that if you go to the lawyer aro law firm or service you should research your case yourself too. Try to learn more about your case, read some articles about lawyers, lawfirms etc. And then use this site.
This site about lawyers is pretty good, you can start from here http://debtlawyers.blogspot.com
It is a 100% scam. I paid them, and, from then, no sensible communication whatsoever. They never read my emails and never did what they promised. On the telephone, they kept telling me everything was being done (all those general phrases without proof), but they did not even identify to which customer they were talking . Eventually, I had to pay my unlawful parking ticket. No surprise, my request for refund was denied.
