If a house and contents are left to someone in a will,
does that include any sums of cash that might be in the house, eg �2000 or �3000. ?

Sorry jayenhbro - would need to see the exact wording of that clause and the "residue" clause to be able to comment.

It could do, but equally it might be excluded by other terms in the will. Sorry to be pedantic, but the wording of the will is crucial here.
