can a former bankrupt be an attorney under an epa?

Further to my earlier EPA question...Is it legal for a person who only a few years ago was declared bankrupt to be the attorney under an EPA?

I do not think there are any restrictions in the law that would prevent this. Certainly there are none in bankruptcy law.

I think the donor of the EPA (who must be of sound mind when the EPA is prepared & signed) is assumed to know enough about the person they are appointing as attorney to decide whether they can rely on them.

You could ask the Guardianship Office to confirm.
