There is no set formula and it depends entirely on your circumstances. For example, if there are no children and you both work, it would be reasonable to sell the house, divide the equity and that's it.
If you can't work for some reason and you are financially dependent on your husband it is reasonable to expect maintenance; but it could be the other way round - you could be expected to provide for your husband.
There is an outline guide here, but really you won't get any specific answers because it is too dependent on individual circumstances:

Thanks Ethel. Yes I realise that each case is individual, I just wondered if i could email my details to someone who could give me a rough idea of how my husband and i should divide our assets fairly. We have a property, a business and he has pensions, so before i pay for a solicitor, i just thought i might be able to find a bit of info out first on what to expect. i dont mind paying a fair amount.
WIKIVORCE is quite good - if you want an answer you will have to post all your income, outgoings, length of marriage, dependants etc and a moderator will usually pick it up. There is quite alot of info you can get for free.
There is also a divorce calculator but as Ethel says the and wer is completely dependant on your context.
Good luck
