Hi, I live down an old farm track lane, Four houses are on this lane. Our house used to be the farm house till we replace it with a new built house The lane is just made up of stone and gravel. it soon gets pot holes . A small family firm used the lane most of the time and they kept the lane tidy 2 or 3 times a year for many years but it is not working anymore so it has been left.
In our deeds there is nothing in it to say who looks after the lane. So is it all of us or do we just look after our own frontage. Can a neighbour intimidate us, to tell us when we have to mend the lane and force the issue ?
Thank you for any help with this

No, you are not legally obliged to do anything.
In your deeds, I assume it says you either own the land on which this lane sits, or at least you have a free right of passage by foot or vehicle along it?
By the way, it is more helpful if you link follow-up questions to the original (by posting an answer appended to your original question) and not raising supplementary questions on the same topic. That way it keeps the whole thread together.
