Jack is a 14 yr old child who accidentally causes damage to a car. The owner of the car has now started County Court proceedings against the child's father to pay for the damage caused.
Is this likely to be successful at a County Court and will the parents have to pay for damage caused accidentally by their child ?

No, its a genuine question but I take your point. The question is can a child's parents be held responsible for this damage caused at a county court?
